Itay grew up in Rehovot. He started dancing
in a non-formal way at the age of 23 in New York. He studied ballet
and modern dancing in Tel Aviv.
During 2001-2002 he was a member of the Academia Isola
Danza of the Bienniale in Venice, performing under artistic
director Carolyn Carlson. He studied intensively during
this time, with David Zambrano
and Nigel Charnock.
He holds a degree in Far East Studies from Tel-Aviv
University.
Itay lives in Tel Aviv,
where he teaches contact and release technique,
and dances in the company.
