Ilanit grew up in Rehovot, Israel. She is a graduate
of the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of music and dance and also of the
Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where she studied theatre and musicology.
She has been an independent creative artist for the last ten years.
She won the Excellence in Performance
award in the Gvanim B’mahol (shades
in dance) Festival in 2001. |
Ilanit was the founder and manager of the Improbiza
Ensemble (1999-2003). During
the year 2000 she took part in an artist exchange between Israel
and Taiwan, where she created choreography for two dance companies, taught
contact improvisation and gave workshops.
Ilanit collaborates regularly with other artists and companies, teaching
and performing in Israel and Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Spain and Ireland).
She lives in Tel Aviv, where she teaches improvisation, composition, contact
and technique.
