Nir grew up in Kiryat Bialik and
spent his childhood programming computers and reading science fiction.
He became a musician at the ripe age of 23, when he enlisted himself
to the Rimon School for Jazz and Modern Music.
Nir's main instrument is the voice - he's an instrumental-vocalist.
He's also been known to perform as a bassman, a keyboard player
and a band's frontman. |
He is also a song writer, composer and arranger, as
well as a soundman, working in his own studio, The
Nir Space Station, where he records, among other things, soundtracks
for dancing. Among his works in this field are the soundtracks for Ilanit
Tadmor's dances Walk My Talk and Two Cafe (with Anat
Stainberg).
Among the many bands and musical projects he's involved in are Vocaliens,
Funkapella and
Plutonium.
With the latter two he performed in the Red Sea Jazz Festival, in 2002
and 1999 respectively.
Nir currently lives in Tel Aviv, where he performs and records music,
writes science
fiction stories and works with the company.
